We built a viewer page for viewing individual items, and now when you click on any item in MDB or MRIDB you will be redirected to a new page where you can comment and like other people's comments (although the like feature is not fully implemented yet), but we believe this is a good start.
Regarding the tracker page, we are still skeptical about whether to implement the vote function, as it may not be appropriate for this page. If you have any thoughts on this, please feel free to leave a message to discuss.
The world asset page is a later priority, and we may start designing it after completing all the above work, although it has been a long time since it was proposed.
Also, we lifted the restriction on ID-Downloader, which was imposed at a time when we considered it a risk period. After re-evaluation, we believe that ID-Downloader can now lift the restriction.
If any of the new things mentioned above do not work for you, try pressing CTRL+F5 to force refresh the target page to clear the cache.
Note: The early planning list on the discord server is no longer reliable. We have deleted the planning list and all information is based on vrcpirate.com.
Nevertheless, I still need to mention why some of these plans were cancelled.
- Credit System
- VRCPirate Utils client(cache ripping and all in one tool)
- storage system for VRCPirate Utils Client(cache uploading)
- world udonsharp decompiler from .vrcw currently still very alpha and slow progress
In the original plan, we first envisioned a set of extensions based on the Credit System, and to cooperate with the planned VRCPirate Utils Client. Unfortunately, we found that others were already doing the same thing, and the level of completion was quite high, and we did not intend to compete with them. Since the start of VRCPirate, what we have been doing is just doing something that others have not done or that others are no longer running, and we have kept this idea.
Regarding 'world udonsharp decompiler from .vrcw', the reason for the cancellation of this project is that the person who developed this project is no longer continuing this project, and I personally respect his ideas very much, so I cancelled the project.
But let's look on the bright side, these plans are retained and will be implemented in the future.
- Own file hosting for archive
- Add: World-asset / DB
World-asset / DB has been mentioned before. We are concerned about VRCPirate's own file server. If we use a virtual server or any server provider's storage system, it may be a considerable expense to transfer and store all the current files. We are currently running everything for free and trying to reduce the cost of running VRCPirate as much as possible. If the situation is really bad in the future, we may consider opening donations to support our operations (actually, this matter has been discussed internally in this update)
