We bring you 2 news, first, sadly, our developer said the 'direct private avatar fetch' feature will not supported, this is because private avatar is invisible for other people who are not in the same room. so it's impossible if you want fetch private avatar and download it DIRECTLY.
But don't feel too sad, we turned mind to make another thing, we are making a client to get avatar info from your cache and you can upload to our server, this mean we will also create credit system.
how it works? you upload your cache > get credit > download other people's uploaded avatar from cache.
we would like to say it is actually good, it's time-free for you, since if you are old vrchat player, your cache is enough big, and we will store these files for you.

doclan Why is it not supported when it /is/ a thing that exists not only within the API, but with other tools as well? There's already cache scanners out there, even ones backed +/ not under attack by VRC themselves. We need something that, while limited such as by credits or by cooldown, can be used to gather the avtr_ID's from a usr_ID

VocalsGumi Yes, alternative way can be upload valid content to our MDB/CRIDB, if it's passed after review, you will get lots of credits. (all of those will be online within few days)
most way of gaining credits is posting valid and high quality content to help us provide better service to user.

Rando im assuming you are talking about the vrchat api, technically, our developer thinks its player to player loading, since private avatar can be only wear by its owner, this means the game can just stream avatar info to same room player, and other player loads the avatar with given data, this literally blocked the way of out of game fetching private avatar info.
other similar sites also couldn't resolve this problem, so they also chosen way with like mod, cache...
progress should like:
private avatar owner -> fetch own avatar info -> stream info to same room player -> other player loads.
we just repeat what other similar sites have done and try to do it better.

Rando for additionally, search avatar by user id is based on database, vrchat doe not provide such api, you need own database for doing that, and this means database should have always up to date avatar/world info(or at least fast update), and database should be large to enough implement such features. currently we are still a small and new site.

There are ways to find private avatars without needing a database, that's simply an old way of thinking that needs excessive server storage and will never be complete nor up to date. I don't know them myself, but I've seen ways for it to be done
